This program will prepare students for positions with retailers or merchandise suppliers. Whether they work with a retailer or supplier, they must have a solid understanding of the process shoppers use to decide which products to purchase. In this career track, they will gain valuable insights into channel marketing, category management, branding and promotion. As a graduate, they will be prepared to select, implement, track and analyze the effects of product offerings, prices, and promotions on consumer choices.

Applicant should be a graduate of a regionally accredited institution in the U.S., or of a similar foreign university whose requirements for the bachelor's degree are substantially equivalent to those at the University of Arkansas, may be considered for admission to the Graduate School. In addition to this, they should have equivalent of at least 16 years schooling; have pursued a curriculum comparable to one at the University of Arkansas; have earned at least a 3.0 (on a 4.0 scale) grade point average on the last 60 hours of bachelor's degree course work (approximately last two years of a four-year degree program). International students should have obtained a minimum TOEFL score of 550 on paper- based test, 213 on computer based test and 79 on internet-based or a 6.5 on the IELTS and 58 on PTE.
