Two programs leading to the M.S. degree are available to graduate students in Animal Sciences. Students may elect to pursue either a thesis (Plan A) or non-thesis (Plan B). Requirements in these two programs are as follows: A. Plan A (Thesis):A minimum of 30 credits is required including:- at least 12 credits of courseworks numbered 600 and above, including 2 credits of ANSC 641 (seminar) and excluding 699 and thesis 700 - a maximum of 3 credits of directed research (ANSC 699) - thesis research; 9 credits in ANSC 700, at least one credit must be taken in the final semester - remaining credits must be in courses numbered 300 and above

A bachelor's degree in a travel-related, hospitality management or business field from an accredited institution is recommended for admission. Applicants with degrees in other fields are also encouraged to apply.Minimum admission standards include an academic grade point average equivalent to 3.0 or higher on a 4.0 scale in baccalaureate work. Applicants are required to take either the Graduate Management Admission Test (GMAT) or the Graduate Record Examination (GRE). Applicants whose native language is not English are required to take the Test of English as a Foreign Language (TOEFL). The minimum acceptable TOEFL score is 560 paper-based test or 220 computer-based test. However, applicants admitted with TOEFL scores of less than 600 paper-based test or 250 computer-based test are required to take English Language Instruction (ELI) courses. The TOEFL requirement is waived only for applicants who have earned a bachelor's or advanced degree from an accredited institution in the United States, Australia, Canada, New Zealand, Singapore or the United Kingdom. Three letters of recommendation must be sent to the School of Travel Industry Management, addressing the ability of the applicant to succeed in graduate study as well as to make future contributions to the travel industry. At least one letter should be from a person familiar with the applicant's academic work. In addition, work experience, preferably at a supervisory or managerial level in the travel industry or related field, is highly desirable. * Completed application form, One copy of official transcripts directly mailed from all colleges and universities attended. Official GRE or GMAT scores, Official TOEFL score (if required) .
