This program is an important step toward the challenging, well-paying, and respected career. The human resource field is highly specialized and can assure students of acquiring the professional knowledge and expertise needed to succeed. The program is designed to help students excel in a leadership position, whether managing the personnel activities of a small growing business, a corporate department or a global corporation. The practical techniques are essential to day-to-day human resource management. From recruitment to training, labor relations to benefit planning, compensation to legal issues of employment. The course is comprised of an orientation and twelve graduate-credit courses, each with its own clear, comprehensive learning guide. Each course features a series of hands-on activities and research projects that challenge the student to meld information gleaned from the texts, independent research, and outside sources to explore realistic human resource management problems.

The courses are as follows:First Semester: MR600 - Orientation, MR601 - Survey of HRM, MR630 -Staffing and Recruiting, MR632 - Training and Development, MB661 - Leadership and Motivation. Second Semester: MB650 - Legal Issues of Employment, MR637 - Compensation Management, MR638 - Employment Benefits, MS645 - Workplace Security, Third Semester: MR635 - Labor Relations, MI606 - International HR Management, MR651 - Business and HRM Ethics, MR609 - Capstone: Strategic Management and HRM.

Students must have a bachelor’s degree in any field from an accredited college or university, with a minimum GPA of 2.5, supported by official transcripts. No GMAT or GRE exam score is required. Access to a PC that can read CD-ROMs; MSWord, PowerPoint, and Excel software; Internet access and an active email address are required.
