This program, offered through a consortium of the University of Arkansas at Little Rock, the University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences, and the University of Central Arkansas, is a research-based program designed to prepare graduates to be faculty members and scientists at institutions of higher education. This program is rigorous in its research and scientific base, yet it allows for several different areas of specialization and correlated areas in related disciplines. Graduates will be prepared for research, grant writing, teaching, and supervision through pedagogy, mentorship, and internship activities in many areas.

Applicants must have: Baccalaureate degree or its equivalent from U.S. Accredited institutions or international degree equivalent to U.S accredited institutions; Two (2) letters of reference from practicing; appropriate scores on the Graduate Record Examination (GRE). All international students are required to submit TOEFL scores in order to be considered for admission to UCA. It require TOEFL scores in order to ensure that all entering students have the English skills necessary to be successful in their classes. The required TOEFL scores are: 550 - Paper-based Test; 213 - Computer-based Test; 80 - Internet-based Test. The required IELTS score is 6.5.
