I think chico is a great place to live. It is very close to most of the major cities such as sacramento and san francisco. Students who wish to come here need to understand the changing rules per department so that they wont get confused after coming here.

Getting to chico is very easy. You must have a good TOEFL score and upto the mark GRE score to get the admission. Getting an admission for masters is not that tough. Major thing is though the school is in california the fees are really less as compared to other schools. There will not be any problems related to visa if you have a clear financial paperworl ready with you.

There are limited no of scholarships. Not many but they are upto 3 units. But cost of living is not much in chico . You can also get an on/off campus employment preety easily

As far as my major goes. computer science has some great courses in database,java programming,c++,.net and AI stuff. It depends upon how much efforts you want to put or just want to get away with a degree. The more you will put in the more you will get.

Life experience is great in chico. International students have their organisations. On campus / off campus accomodation is never a problem.
