Writtle College’s friendly atmosphere and excellent facilities inspired me to come. It was worth coming all this way to study, not just for my education but also for the experience. It's a very different learning experience here because people are pro-active and enthusiastic. Students are encouraged to free their mind and think for themselves, take up new challenges and work on their own initiative. This approach has distinct advantages for me - it motivates me and encourages my creativity. And the lecturers are so well learned and accommodating.

The system of education in the UK is very different to what I’m used to in India, but staff from the International Office have always been there for me to make sure I can understand everything.

I’m from Hyderabad, India, and wanted to study in the UK to learn about conservation and ecology. The social life at Writtle College is lively and the Students’ Union makes sure that no matter how much work you have there’s always time to relax and enjoy a fun night out. The College has its own farm and equine and animal units. The farm has a diverse range of animals to learn from and having access to horses at the equine unit is ideal.
