Let me say that, in the beginning, the different environment compared to back home made me more independent. I have to do things all by myself here. Here, time goes so fast!! I learned that time is money and time is everything. I now plan everything in advance and have become good at time management. In the US, you have to open up and mingle with people. There are so many social opportunities in OSU such as leadership associations. You have to take the initiative and look for those opportunities. Through those opportunities at OSU, I have become more interactive. I think that we should be able to have fun with friends in addition to being an academic. Try to get involved and meet people. Throw shyness out of window: there is always something happening on Campus! Join any kind of orientation, cultural nights, and International Students of OSU (ISOSUS) spring festival. Meet your advisor once a year and talk about social problems as well as academic things. Lots of great facilities are available such as the library. Use them! Enjoy a well-balanced life. Don't limit your life to academics only, but enjoy sports, student organizations, and clubs.

The professors at OSU are approachable and helpful. I remember that the professor in Microeconomics class was willing to help me learning. Interact with professors. I recommend going to their office hours to get to know your professor and to get to know each other. They are really helpful.

I really love the campus. It's beautiful and clean. And I love the buildings! As an international student, the first few weeks were overwhelming. The first week was really overwhelming for me, but people were open and welcoming and helped me a lot to get used to the new environment. As an ICSP student, I have opportunity to share information about the culture of my country, Nepal. Cultural nights and other activities in the Memorial Union are awesome. We can enjoy meeting people, music, and free food. I just love Dixon (recreation center) and the library that provides study rooms and research materials.

My future plan is to be CPA (Certified Public Accountant) in my country, Nepal. Accountants are always in demand. I think OSU has a really good business program especially in accounting program which is very helpful for my career goal.
