I am hugely influenced by architectural space and geometric elements. This may have come from my father, who was a minimalist painter, or from my own attraction to precision and strong forms. Either way, it shows in my work.

London art galleries and museums are just incredible. To have so many in such a small space is the most amazing opportunity. I could have studied in the US but to be honest I felt that culturally the UK was superior and also offered better opportunities. The College has many international students. I have realised that it could make 20 years to meet the sort of people I met whilst studying at the RCA. Since graduating, I realise how important these relationships are. The contemporary world is global.

It is not important where I am based. What is important is the craft I have learnt. I achieved a lot in just two years. It is an experience that cannot be matched.
