the overall experience is good if you are some one who love the Hospitiality and Tourism industry. I think the most important part will be perseverence as you need to go through SSM (especially for someone who do not really like the service industry).
compared to the H&T course, this course is much more easier to get into as the cut-off point is lower. Plus, it's the only school that is offering this course. Studying hard is still the most important critiria if you wish to get into a course you want.
all the lecturers are approacable and some can be very interesting. As most of them worked in the industry before, they will share all the experience they had with you rather then bore us with the words written in the notes. For me, i feel the best bit will be having a chance to think of a family event for sentosa and this is not something you can so in many courses. Something that is more hands-on and we get to learn and feel how it's like being an event organiser. last but not least having free admission to sentosa for a semester to study at TAS and that is the best time for the LRM coursemates to bond together.
I think most of the student will enjoy shopping session after tutorial at tampines central as there are 3 shopping centres located near each other. our own union also organise some bonding events like music festival and retro singing parties for us to have fun with other course mates.
i believed job prospect have increase especially when the IR in sentosa and marina bay sands is opening soon. it will be just nice for us to work there when we graduate.
