I was a MS student at Clemson University in the Electrical and Computer Engineering department. My MS thesis entitled "Profiling Architecture and Tools in Coven" was defended on Dec 6, 2004. I officially 'walked' in May 2005. Completing my grad studies at Clemson was a very fulfilling experience. I would definitely recommend the university to any other Indian student intending to study in the US.
I had to give the normal GRE and TOEFL exmams. I completed my undergraduate education from the Sardar Patel College of Engineering in India. My visa interview was not very difficult at all.
I was part of parallel architecture research lab at Clemson University. Working with this research group was a great learning experience. We developed a profiling and visualization framework for Coven using MPE (a profiling library for parallel programs) and Java2D API. The visualization tool was demonstrated at the NASA booth during Supercomputing Conference 2003.
There are number of Indian students at Clemson. There is an Indian student society also known as CISA ( Clemson Indian student's association). I served as the director of arts for the society during my time at Clemson. In all it was a fun filled experience.
