I studied Media Management (MSc) at the University of Stirling in Scotland. The structure of the course is very good and it helps media professionals understand specific issues in great detail. After having worked in media and marketing for over seven years (I joined Beijing Ediam Communications as a Research Manager in 2001 and left as their Brand Manager) I found this course to be very apt and useful I would recommend the program to any international student intending to study abroad.
As mentioned before I had over 7 years of work experience, my previous educational qualifications were an MBA (awarded by the Victoria University of Technology, Australia) from the China- Australia Business School and a BA in advertising from the Communication University of China.
I was awarded the Scottish international Scholarship in 2006 by the Scottish Executive.
It was a very good course. The faculty is highly experienced and the University of Stirling has very modern facilities.
I wouldn't say that it is very easy for international students to get jobs. There is a definite preference given to British/ EU students in all placements but if students are willing to work hard and try, then they will be successful.
