The course structure was good. The professors were nice, knowledgeable and helpful.

Visa Interview was very smooth and easy without any hassles. I just had to take TOEFL as a part of admission requirement. I did not attend any coaching classes nor used the services of any education counselors. It was easy to get tickets. I flew in British Airways. The flight was good and the airlines offered a discount for students. I landed at Heathrow airport, London. University was 3 hours away by car. I do not remember the baggage rules but no excess baggage was allowed. I did not face any immigration issues at the airport. The university did not offer ¿Meet and Greet¿ service at the airport.

The university provided teaching assistantships and partial tuition waivers. I would advise Indian students to start applying for various scholarships one year before their proposed study program begins. This is because most of the deadlines are one year prior the admission year.

I lived in a hostel provided by the university. The hostel rooms were good and the facilities provided by them were top-class. The lecture halls were big and had all the necessary technology built in it. The library was huge and had a good collection of all kinds of books. We had full sports facilities. It was very easy for international students to get hold of part-time jobs in university as well as city. The city was open to people from different ethnic backgrounds. The night life was very active. The whether was okay. There was not any Indian society in the university. However, there was an Asian Society, which was quite active. They organized get-together on all the important Indian/Asian Festivals.

The university had a placement cell but it was mostly for the UK and EU resident students. No, it is not easy for international students to get jobs there. Only the native companies come for the placement cells. The work permit process is very difficult. There is an alumni society in our university. The alumni network is not very active and they are not of much help as far as the placement goes.
