My overall experience was amazingly good over this entire period of my study. There were a lot of Indians at my university so Indian students will not feel homesick at all. The course was good. Staff was excellent. University as such is good.
I had no problems in my visa and journey. I did give IELTS for my admission. My choice of university was done by me based on internet search. I took British Airways with no discount on airfare but an extra luggage was allowed. I did not attend any orientation week. For immigration check up my advice to Indian students will be to carry a chest x-ray as they do ask for it during immigration check.
The course was good. Staff was excellent. University as such is good. I am quite happy after my course completion after last year.
I worked part time and that kept me busy. As of now I am staying in Nottingham, sharing a flat with my friends and we guys have fun together. University did have societies.
I am working in a hospitality industry and quite happy with that also.
