I wanted to do my research in Molecular and Cellular Biology as I had already done prior research in the field of Microbial Pathogenesis. I completed my PhD at Dartmouth College. The research facilities were outstanding and I got a lot out of my program both technical and otherwise.
I am a Saudi-born guy going there every year since 1993 and now I wanted to do PhD in the US. .A perfect example of a type of case that starts ringing alarm bells!! But, contrary to all that my visa interview went on fine. I also had some teaching experience teaching at an international education center .GRE and SAT verbal. I think this and the fact that I had received a good scholarship impressed the VO. For the students doing research, my suggestion is if u r doing research and ur work falls under TAL_ technology alert list, u can get into trouble as ur visas mit be delayed ..Be careful while answering that question.
I had a Scholarship of 31,771$ and Assistantship of 23,000$.
The program and the facilities offered were great.
