I am having a fulfilling university experience. I would advise anyone who is interested to study at my university to participate actively in all kinds of school activities, and experience staying in hall for at least a year. It allows the student to make many new friends and gain many more memorable experiences in the process.

It was not difficult to be awarded a place at my university. I followed the normal procedure of submitting an online application and received notification through email and post thereafter. The selection process was not very strict. I did not need to obtain a visa as I studied locally.

The Nanyang Scholarship, CN Yang Scholarship and some other bursary awards are available at NTU. We had a lot of information on the various scholarships during information talks held by the different faculties during Open House or Orientation. I suggest for students to look at the conditions behind the scholarship to see which would best fit their needs and prepare well for the interview beforehand.

My course is known to be one of the toughest, if not the toughest, in NTU. I do not study a lot each week, probably 5 hours at most? But nearing exams, I'll definitely put in a bit more effort. Most of my lecturers are either from China or India and I have problems understanding them at times due to their strong accents. There is some study support in the form of Peer Tutoring sessions. As for approaching the professors, I am still not particularly interested. I believe my course is value for money.

My university has a range of facilities which include various computer labs, well furnished libraries with a wide range of books and many computer terminals for students to use, as well as a Sports and Recreation centre to cater to the sporting needs of students and staff. Erm.. nearest town? Haha.. Jurong Point? It is great after renovations... many shops...=P The fellow students are friendly, quite a number of foreign students though. I live in the school hostel, which is located a short distance from school. There is a canteen nearby for convenience. I'm not sure about part-time job availability... I am unfamiliar with the Student Union. Yes, I've joined various societies and clubs. There are some specifically for international students like those from Indonesia or China.

Yes, I believe my job prospects have definitely increased as a result of my studies. I will be keeping in touch with fellow alumni. Yes, there is an alumni association.
