I found it to be a stimulating and challenging academic experience.

The course provides a rigorous grounding in the principles of business - especially in the areas of finance, economics and strategy and gave me a deep understanding of group dynamics within a diverse international business context. I built confidence in the all-important ‘softer' skills such as presentations and networking, and had a wealth of opportunity to network with professionals from a variety of industries. The Boardroom activity was immensely challenging and rewarding, testing my leadership skills to the very limit and offering the chance to learn from the experience and wisdom of senior business leaders.

I was attracted to DBS for many reasons: high academic standards and reputation for intellectual rigour; internationally diverse cohort; strong reputation in finance; emphasis on team-work within organisations; beautiful location where I could concentrate fully on my studies and get a fresh perspective on the business world.

I am currently product manager (equity research) at Credit Suisse Securities (Japan) Ltd, Tokyo. My role involves internal sales and relationship management; promoting our research analysts' investment ideas to our sales and sales-trader teams both in Japan and in the US and Europe. I believe my MBA was essential to my securing this challenging position, and find that I still apply the knowledge and skills I learned in Durham on a daily basis.
