I studied the Certificate II in Professional Communication, with Internship. The weeks in Business English were profitable, so that every single day I learned something that I can use outside the school. The learning environment was mature enough to allow me to mentally and psychologically develop skills in a serious way. The internship was completely illuminating, not just for my English but also for my career. The process of developing and reaching the confidence level to contribute was particularly good, while the situations requiring me to apply my experience were very rewarding. Programs like this are really challenging but offer great opportunities to improve yourself. This will turn in to a lost of time and money, because is not the program the one who have to fit to the capricious demands of an unprepared student, it is the student the one who have to be prepared for it and make the best from it.
After taking general English that for me, in context of not writing was a torture because despite my spelling was terrible, my other skill wasnt for such a low level but I had to take it if I want that my English improve. After that first term, I changed to Business and that was a great shift, everything was really challenging, the test took me weeks to figure it out how to do it without writing rubbish. Those weeks in class were profitable, every single day I learned something that I can use outside the school. Plus the environment was mature enough to place you mentally and psychologically to develop your skill in a serious way. Nevertheless, the key was the self crave to learn, to grow, to get stronger, not waiting for someone to come and teach me, that is the difference between the one who linger in the same point nagging and conquers that despite all the obstacles the triumph. Success is not for everyone, tools, situations, programs like this will not satisfy at all, if the person is not enough mature to take chances, opportunities like this to improve himself.
From the beginning, Australia sounded like the kind of place that I would like, from the exotic of the country, of course from a Mexican perspective, to the place that I can really pull up my English. The start, like any other star, it was slow but after a proper conditioning, the rhythm of school as well the cultural factor became easer to live and to take. The internship was completely illuminating, not just for my English but also for my career as well, the process that I had to take to reach the level to contribute with any kind of thought was particularly good, the circumstances that involved my experience were more than satisfactory, All the elements that played in this short time of my life had a challenge to make me better in many ways . . , that I did not expect.
