I studied a national Diploma at Truro College and then the foundation art course. Having studied the City and Guilds in Silversmithing with the national Diploma I decided to apply for the Foundation Degree. I am really enjoying the course and now I have finished I had like to study the third year Silversmithing and Jewellery BA(Hons) at Truro College.

I would like to set up my own business as a Silversmith, we are already encouraged to sell our work. The majority of our studies is practical but even the theory work is business orientated, so the course is totally training you to be professional silversmith. There is a lot of support from lecturers and techniques who all specialise in different areas. Even though I still have a year to go I feel pretty confident that I could go and set up my own business now.
