I am currently pursuing a second MBA in Marketing at the University of North Texas. I made the decision to come to UNT for several reasons. On applying to schools in the United States, I found that UNT was one of the few schools that recognized my countries exam qualifications. I instantly knew this would be a school where I could learn about the academic side of my education as well as have the opportunity to learn socially by meeting people from all around the world. And that is exactly what happened upon coming to UNT - I have been privileged to meet great lifelong friends from places like Malaysia, Rwanda, Uganda, Brazil, Kenya, and Taiwan, among others. These have become people that made a huge impact on my experience in the United States. All in all, I hope you enjoy your stay at UNT, as it is worth every second. I know I have.

Regarding academics at UNT, you will meet several professors that will enhance your learning. Not only are they interested in where you come from, but they also are willing to make sure you understand and excel in your courses. UNT professors are willing to take the extra time to help. They become channels to your understanding the American culture and how you can improve your education with it.

There is so much you can learn from enrolling at UNT; the campus is big and still growing. Its location is also significant, as Denton is a city where you will see America for what it really is and not just what you see on television. UNT's location is close to Oklahoma and the Dallas-Fort Worth Metroplex. On campus, you will get to experience a lot in the dorms and from fellow students, friendly employees, future coworkers, and other international students. The International Welcome Center is the perfect starting point.
