Its a nice place to be. The university has a good source of funding. Try to know your department and its goal well before coming here. I am lovin it!

Easy. It only went for 3 minutes. I was asked about the course, length of it and about my funding. i had all my financial statements including loan were ready (list could be found on web easily) with declaration from my parents as sponsor in place. But it is more important to be confident and honest in the interview because they hardly look for the documents. The interview is based on your oral answer,so if the VO looks for docs. that means something is not right. But overall I don,t think its a big deal as it seems from outside. I had to take GRE and TOEFL ibt. I did not prepare for GRE too much. There was no cut off score, but its better to have a score around 1200+..for TOEFl ibt, most univs. look for score over 100, my univ required 23 in the speaking section Toefl is easy and does not require preparation more than 1 week. GRE prep. depends upon the target score one has set. I signed for the American Centre (USEFI) councelling services . it costs around Rs.1000 for one year. Its good experience because one gets authentic information regarding exams, visa procedure and helps to interact with other students. Ticketing is easy, but i would suggest to buy ticket from good dealers, even it costs a little higher.I flied with British Airways, it was d best. It had a student offer of carrying extra (3rd) luggeage. My port of entry was Philadelphia. No immigration issues. try to fly with single airline, differnt airlines have differnt baggage allowance. University orientation was inside the campus only.

Funding is one of the best things here. Most of the students are fully funded.

Yes, mostly the course was good, but one has to figure out himself how to structure his course though prof.s are always there.

I live in an apartment 2 miles away from campus with other indian roomamtes. We have a great kitchen. Its always better to live off campus here since its half the cost on campus. we met through internet before coming here, thogh its not a big issue here.Its hard being vegetarian unless you cook own food. All the things are far better than expected.Univ. has a good bus service. On campus jobs are available in Resaturants, Labs, etc. Its a small town but with good life. Lots of Indians are here, so you will not be alone. It snows a lot (-20 Centigrade lowest) hot in summer. you need good jackets, but its better to buy from here. There is IGSA for Indian students with lots of activity and its fun.
