I have felt that the uni lecturers have been quite discouraging. They certainly don't encourage us to think for ourselves. All our thoughts must not only be referenced they must also line up with theirs. This has been not only discouraging but also demoralising.

I enrolled for advanced standing as I transferred from another uni. However I just applied through uac using the standard admissions form.

I have no idea. Information about this is generally only avaliable in first year which I (technically) never was.

It's ok. Other unis offer a greater range of qualifications for the same course eg Charles Sturt uni is for birth to year 6 Mac is for birth to year 2. Also there is a HUGE focus on management qualifying you to be a director and such and I really want to be a teacher. Also because it is linked to MiaMia (which some call the best day care centre in the Southern hemisphere) the lecturers are a bit slef obsessed/focussed/can do no wrong.

I worked casually through a child care agency which was really appropriate. It's handy being near the Mac Centre lots of shops and facilities. Parking (at uni) is super duper expensive though.

There are heaps of jobs in the industry and everyone is desperate for qualified ECTs. Also Mac is a good uni to get your degree from in the industry.
