In gerenral very expensive because its central london, but you need to keep your head in control and if you budget well you will be alright, be prepared to set aside at leats 2000 pounds for mistakes that you will make over your stay, eg: can't find a location and travel around for ages!; very good transport system, well organised and hard to get lost because everything is so well marked; Helpful note - if you get lost, ask a taxi driver because they have a very good idea of locations

Accommodation is very expensive in london but lse halls are good value for money; hopefully you will make friends in you second year to stay with outisde lse halls. Central london so right in the middle of everything; may be considered small by some but easy to get around. I am not a night perosn, but love the crowds around, busy-ness of people, muliticultural life, beautiful parks, lots of things to do like galleries, museums, exquisite window shopping;
