I would rate the life experience as average because the campus is located outside city. But the cost of living is very low and all the sports and campus facilities are just 10 min walk from housing apartments. Indian student association helps new students and lots of events occur every semester. The only drawback is one needs to go to houston, which is 90 min drive by car, for exclusive Indian activities.
Chemical Engineering students easily find jobs in the core area, as Texas is the best place for employment for Chemical Engineers. Students get jobs easily in cities like Houston, Dallas etc, within 2-3 months after graduating . So Job prospects are good at Lamar university.
