I enjoy the prestigous atmosphere of University of Adelaide. Everyone wants to succeed and the calibre of students in my course is very high. Lecturers have industry experience and often relate lecture material to their previous work life.

I applied for my placement through SATAC. I was admitted into my course because I achieved the required TER. I would advise students to do their best in year 12 so they can achieve the highest possible TER as this makes it easier to later transfer into other courses and of course be accepted into the course you want to study.

I received the University of Adelaide Vice Chancellor's Scholarship and a Commonwealth Education Costs Scholarship. This has enabled me to focus on my studies. I advise all students to take a look at the University of Adelaide Scholarship page and apply for all scholarships you are eligible for - it can be time consuming but definitely worth it!

I am studying Commerce with a major in Accounting. I like my course because I am learning practical knowledge I will later be able to apply to the work environment and also my own life. It is a good value for money course as jobs are plentiful and only requires 3 years study so you do not accumulate as much debt. Lecturers have been fantastic tutors are okay - some are far better than others. I have been fortunate this semester having two of the lecturers as my tutors.

Uni facilities are pretty good there are lots of facilities on campus including unibooks gym cafes bar STA travel. It is possible to find part-time work although it can be difficult to find an employer who is willing to accommodate your study timetable.

Job prospects have definitely increased salary prospects have increasd I will be completing work experience with an accounting firm over the summer which will also increase my job opportunities.
