I visited the University initially on the August Open Day, and was fortunate to be accepted onto the Psychology degree programme there and then. The flexibility of the system allowed me to choose subjects I was interested in and that suited my family commitments - essential as a mother of four. There is nothing I would change about your university experience. At times it has been hard juggling everything, but coming to Aberdeen University is a decision I've never regretted.

As a mature student I thought making friends would be difficult. But there are lots of mature students at Aberdeen and the younger students are also very friendly, so I didn't feel out of place. The mixture of lectures and tutorials is an excellent way to get to meet people and make new friends. After graduation, I plan to spend some time with my children, before I start looking for a job.
