I decided that I wanted to undertake an MBA course to increase my understanding of the different components that make up a business and how business performance can be improved. When it came time to choose where to undertake the MBA, I thought of UWS straight away because I completed my first graduate course there and really enjoyed the learning experience. I highly recommend the MBA course at the Sydney Graduate School of Management.

The lecturers were knowledgeable and accessible. The program was structured in a way that assisted my learning and challenged my thinking. I enrolled into the MBA course with the Sydney Graduate School of Management (UWS) and I was not disappointed. My experience was the same as it was when I completed my first degree. The lectures were knowledgeable, had relevant industry experience, and were very accessible. The subjects were interesting and challenged my thinking. The group work component was particularly challenging because you are sometimes in a group that contains people that you don't know with various motivation levels. This is a situation that is typical in a work environment as well. I learnt how to work and communicate with people in a way that acknowledges and capitalises on their strengths which results in favourable outcomes/results for the group. I have found that this is an important skill to have in business environment. I have also learnt how to analyse problems in a structured and holistic way. This has facilitated solutions that achieve the best outcomes. The course has also increased my confidence when speaking to senior managers because I can understand their perspective better and I can speak their language now.

The friendly administration staff at the Sydney Graduate School of Management helped me to navigate my way through; course selection, class and exam timetables and; were always available to answer any questions.

I have found that the MBA has made me a more marketable candidate in today's highly competitive job market .I was able to secure a full-time role with one of Australia's largest retail employer and now provide advice and support to store managers.
