I like the food and restaurants here in Melbourne. There are many different varieties and cuisines to choose from. The atmosphere and weather is also good, it has good seasons. The people are nice, I made good friends here. Study is going well, what more can I expect. If you want to come here, you will not regret it.
I applied for my visa through an agent. It was quick - not a long delay or other things. I also applied online and got in touch with them regarding the course and the fees, then the agent helped me.
The thing is that international students have to have their own funds for their fees prior to coming here. After coming here, they can apply for scholarships say like a semester or so. They cannot apply for scholarships from overseas.
I am studying foundation studies, the classes are alright, I will be finishing this semester. Looking forward to getting into uni. The teachers have been a mix of good and bad.
I found that finding a job vacancy is easy but getting the job is hard, there are so many applicants and some of them are over qualified, too much competition. I got my job after 6 months. I am living here with housemates, I found the house through the internet, its cheap living in a shared house and sharing bills. The local area is well connected and close to city but it’s a bit far from college, but I can manage that.
I think this course will definitely improve my chances of getting employed. I am looking forward to it. I will also join the alumni association and keep in contact with my classmates.
