After three years of study at the University of Plymouth, I graduated with a degree in Maritime Business and Law. I left Plymouth to commence a career in the City of London, the world's maritime centre. For three years, I worked as a broker arranging the deployment of gas carriers. In 1998 I successfully undertook a Masters programme at City University in Shipping Finance and Trade. Upon graduation I joined the Royal Bank of Scotland which has a shipping portfolio valued at $17 Billion. Now I am a Director in the Ship Finance section of the bank.
