At NP, we have functions like music and dance programs organized by the student bodies, so that is some time for fun. I would like to advice that, the students follow rules and do what is expected of them to do.
GCE ”O“ level entry, that was required for entrance into the course. Not very hard, stringent. You can clear any doubts if you have about the admission and stuff through the office or email/internet.
Range of scholarships are available and they are canvassed too. I mean most of the students know about scholarships but only a few apply because we know that the criteria is not easy to meet. Apart from that, local student, I get subsidy from the government.
I think that programming is an interesting topic esp. java. You can implement the codes and use it on websites or you can even develop some applications. At intermediate level its quite easy, but expert level, it gets a bit complicated and time consuming. I love computers, so I study here everyday and the teacher support is also good.
We have Mc donalds, cafes, different food right here on campus. Library, internet and student clubs are also over here which we can join any time that we like. Transport is also good as it is close to MRT. I work casually even while I am studying, more like a free lancer sometimes, doing tutoring, web designing etc but its not a fixed one. Whenever I get projects or something like that I do it.
If you believe that you are good then there is a good employment opportunity in the future. We also have alumni groups that we can join and it seems to be a good idea to join and keep in touch with our classmates, so ”yes“ why not.
