George Mason University is a pretty good university to pursue ones Masters Degree. However I would not recommend one to do a Phd. My experience during my stay at GMU has been really fantastic. I got the chance to meet a lot of people from all parts of the World. Academically, GMU has good faculty and staff offering great courses. Its very difficult to provide hints on a general basis. I would be happy to help anyone who maybe interested in joining GMU. The place is pretty close to Washington DC. The cost of living is a bit on the higher side, but one can definitely manage by working On Campus. On campus jobs are quite difficult to get as there?s a lot of Desi population at GMU fighting for the few jobs available. Regarding funding viz RA/TA, it depends on the department of choice.
