Visa interview was easy. I had to write the usual exams. I prepared on my own with the help of books. I did not attend any coaching classes. I used the services of counselors. It was easy to get tickets. I flew Lufthansa. I did not get a student discount. 2 bags were allowed 50 lbs each. They allowed excess baggage at an extra cost. Flight was good. I landed at DFW. The institution is 20 minutes away from the airport. University had a meet and greet facility.

Graduate Research and Teaching Assistant. It was pretty easy for me.

I live in an on campus apartment. Lecture halls are good. The library is very good. City life is nothing great. okayish. Night life is also okayish. Weather is extreme heat and cold. There are lots and lots of Indian students here. The Indian student society handles cultural programs and festivals.

The university has a career services center. In terms of international students being able to get jobs it depends on the market.There is not really a campus placement process in place there's just a carrer center. The work permit again depends on the market/number of applicants for the work visa. There is an alumni society. I dont know how active it is. May be the help with placements. I dont have any personal experience with this.
