I was interested in performing research in high availability and fault tolerant systems under the guidance of Professor Mike Dahlin at Texas. Austin has a beautiful campus. I was really happy with the program and the university.

I got a score of 1350 in GRE with analytical writing score of 5.0 and 290 in TOEFL. Friends, be especially alert during the visa interview. My VO caught me unawares when he suddenly asked me, "So, you are going to apply for a green card once to get there". I vehemently told him that I was just going there to study. Other than that the interview proceeded smoothly and I got my visa without any problems.
