I completed my Masters at the IIT Chicago. The Electrical Engineering program with its state-of-the-art computer systems to enhance and extend the generally available system in the university was one of the best.
Applying to universities is a tiresome process, really. You have to send in the same info again and again. GRE, TOEFL, UG scores, a good SOP and recom letters all are required. In addition, if youve got some work exp it really helps. My acads at the time of applying 69.66%.
I was self funded, the prog was so good that it was worth it.
In addition to the workstations, the department maintains a collection of PCs for ECE students, including a set of machines that can be dedicated to hardware/software projects. The facilities offered were very good and the faculty were highly dedicated and the best in the field. The program costed me 22000$/annum.
Studying abroad was a whole new experience, something which can be cherished throughout ones life. Your perspective of things changes Ive become more open and tolerant to different peoples and cultures. Had a really grand time. Hope all this info helps !
There are good job opportunities available, the uni also helps with placements.
