I had applied to 3 universities, IIT chicago,SIUC n GMU, and got admits from 2 of them. I selected GMU and completed my Masters program there. It was a good program...no complaints.

My GRE and TOEFL scores at the time of applying were 1170 and 233. My B.Tech % was 70% (no baklogs). I was rejected the visa the first time as I couldn't reply well due to tension, but I was really alert the 2nd time round and was extremely confident...this calm and confident attitude got me the visa easily !!
