UT is one of the most respected universities in the US. The Times of London ranked UT second among U.S. public universities. It offered excellent research facilities and I had communicated with Prof. Elvisi who was conducting research in the field of Cache coherency in distr sys....it was similar to my field of interest and I chose UT from the 8 admits I had out of 10. The dept offered fantastic modules and the university really lived upto its reputation.

The visa interview was very easy. But the VO asked a few unexpected questions like Who was my father's boss and Where did my father graduate from !! Shows that u have to be prepared for any Q! Anyway I got the visa without any problems.
