My internship has shown me the reality of the fashion industry and shown me that, once I graduate, I will not be lost. Quite a few of the employees where I worked were ex-interns making me realise that,
My work placement has been incredibly helpful as it has shown me that the gap between education and employment is not that wide. Before starting my internship, I was worried that I would find working in the fashion industry overwhelming but after receiving a really positive review I know that isn't true. I was able to work in two very different sectors which allowed me to experience both a fledgling design company and a top end Fashion PR company. Although taking on two placements was tiring, it has improved my time-keeping immensely and taught me how to prioritise. Leaving my placement was sad as I had begun to feel comfortable and part of the team but it has given me amazing contacts.
