I am liking the course so far, there a good mix of science and nutrition subjects. I think the placements in second year should include client contact and the science subjects we do (eg. chemistry and molecular biology) should be altered to better suit our abilities and to be more relevant to our course.

It was easy for me to get in, having the required UAI. However the required UAI is quite high (has been more than 90 previously) which would make it hard for some people to get in. Enrolling was straight forward.

I have an accommodation scholarship and it helps so much. There are quite a lot out there I guess you just have to try for every one you are eligible for.

The study load is quite reasonable, it’s the hard science subjects that take up most of my time. The lecturers are all very helpful and have experience in the area. We usually have PhD students for tutors, and they are all very helpful, having done all these subjects previously.

There is certainly enough cafes, I would like to see a pharmacy on campus though for getting prescriptions etc. I am not part of any clubs or societies, but I guess I’m not really sure what clubs are available.

As part of our course, we do placements in the workforce which I think is a great way to gain experience and make contacts in the field. I am sure some of our lecturers could also point us in the right direction in regards to searching for a job after we graduate.
