There is a plethora of opportunities available both for academics and extra-curricular activities at Northern Illinois. The Education is good and this combined with the online facilities made learning a fun-filled experience for me.
I am 2007 Engineering passed out candidate. Soon after my Under Graduation I gave my GRE & TOFEL. Based on my score, I approached few colleges. I have habit of reading and discussing with my seniors. Couple of my college seniors who are graduating in this University, trained me to get the admission & clear the Visa Interview. I attended Visa Interview at Chennai Consulate. Regarding Visa Interview, I would say its completely depends on faith. Without any reason, they can either reject or accept. We have to be prepared for every thing. As part of my Journey, I have taken Lufthansa Airways. As soon as I reached Chicago, my friends (seniors) who are here picked me.
Education is good. We enjoyed college life. We generally study in the Public Library for reading subject books. Almost all the work has to be submitted online. Most often staffs and students used to interact through Internal Chat Server.
I was staying with friends from day one of my college life. So life was so beautiful to say. Climate in Chicago is so horrible. Its too cold and breezy. We managed to live over there. City life is good. Lot of pubs and hubs to hang out. I was doing odd jobs during my college days. Money which I earned helped me to enjoy a lot in the city. Life is good to say as long as I earned a little.
Campus placements are not so great. Now I am working as Consultant.
