I am studying at the University of Maryland, College Park. The PhD program offered by the university in the field of Computer Science has been really worthwhile.

I had completed masters at the same university and so easily enrolled in the PhD program. Back home I did my bachelors at IIT. The foundation I had at IIT stood me in good stead in the US.

My interest lies in computer vision, image processing and pattern recognition. I have worked on illumination-invariant matching, shape matching and retrieval, large scale indexing of biometrics, co-hort analysis for biometric matching, still image and video-based face recognition, tracking and 3D object matching. I have had the opportunity to co author book chapters along with my advisor, refereed publications and presented papers.
