I have only studied here for one year but I feel that I have learned more about the fashion industry than in four years in China.

I spend a lot of time in the Boots library and using electric resources from the NTU website. It is a good way to study and the teachers are very supportive. Making clear the study objectives and then setting up a learning schedule at the beginning of the course is important. This is a guide for the whole year and can help to get the most out of the available resources.

I heard about Nottingham Trent University from another Chinese student, who recommended it to me. I also had a look at the rankings for fashion schools in the UK and NTU was high.

I know that it would be much easier for me to return to China and find a good job as I am qualified and have a good network there. However I would like to stay here and try to find another internship. I might return to China to gain some good work experience for a couple of years, then apply through the Tier 1 scheme to work in the UK. This way I will be able to enter the UK industry at a much higher level.
