I had to take the GRE and the TOEFL test. I did not take any coaching and prepared for it myself. I didnt hire a counselor nor do I advice anyone to hire one as the whole searching process makes you very well prepared of what lies ahead. I needed a student visa, the interview was straightforward and answers have to be to the point and brief. Ticketing was easy. I flew by Lufthansa and was not offered students fare or excess luggage although I know a few friends who were. I landed at Logan airport, 30mins from Tufts. No immigration issues were faced. There was no Meet and Greet at the airport.

I had a scholarship plus on campus job. It is not all that tough.

I am very happy and content with my program. The professors are mostly good and the classrooms are spacious and in a very good condition. The Tufts library is one thing that distinguishes it.

I lived off campus. Sports facilities are up to date. The nightlife and social scene is pretty good. The weather is very chilly in winters. There is an international society however, I am unsure about the events they conduct.

I did not use the placement cell so I don’t know anything about it. I came back to India and did not require the work permit. There is an alumni society and I receive emails about events often.. Unsure about placements, as I didn’t approach anyone in the university regarding jobs.
