American Conservatory Theater, located at San Francisco, CA, was founded in 1965 by William Ball. The Theater nurtures the art of live theater through dynamic productions, intensive actor training in its conservatory, and an ongoing dialogue with its audience and its community. American Conservatory Theater offers the Master of Fine Arts Program, Studio ACT offers ten-week courses and occasional intensive workshops on a quarterly basis, and the Summer Training Congress provides training in acting, voice and speech and develops a broad range of acting skills.
