Briarwood College, a private institution, was founded in 1966 as the Briarwood Secretarial School. The institution became Briarwood College in 1979. It is located in Southington, Connecticut. Approximately 650 students, both full and part-time, are enrolled in its bachelors, associate, and certificate and non-credit programs. These programs are offered in combinations of both general education and program-specific courses. Programs are offered in the fields of Criminal Justice, Funeral Service Management, Broadcasting, Dental Hygiene, Medical Office Management, Mortuary Science, Nuclear Medicine Technology and Business Management.
