On September 4, 1962, Augustana Theological Seminary, Grand View Seminary, Chicago Lutheran Theological Seminary and Suomi Theological Seminary consolidated to form the Lutheran School of Theology at Chicago. The School is committed to preparing people for ministry in the name of Jesus Christ. It offers coursework leading to the following degrees: master of arts, master of divinity, master of theology, doctor of ministry and doctor of philosophy. It also offers dual degree programs that include the MA or MDiv from the seminary and the MA in social work from the University of Chicago.
