Southwest College of Naturopathic Medicine & Health Sciences, founded in 1992, educates students in the art and science of naturopathic medicine. The college offers a four-year professional medical degree in Naturopathic Medicine and awards the Doctor of Naturopathic Medicine degree. Graduates are educated in the same basic sciences as MDs, including natural therapeutics and nontoxic approaches to therapy. The program lays a strong foundation in biomedical sciences, such as, anatomy, physiology, biochemistry and pathology along with physical, clinical and laboratory diagnosis.
