In 1973 The University Of Texas Of The Permian Basin enrolled its first students and has now nearly 3,600 students.The university offers undergraduate and graduate programs as well as various certification programs. The largest graduate program at the University is the School of Education, which offers teacher certification programs. The masters degree programs include 7 different education specialties, plus a masters degree in Professional Accountancy, Biology, Business Administration, Criminal Justice Administration, English, Geology, History, Kinesiology, Clinical or Research Psychology, Public Administration and Spanish.
